This was an evenly
contested game played under floodlights at the Mennaye Field on Monday evening,
when the Pirates U17s 'Colts' took the opportunity to play and provide extra experience
to a number of their U16s, all of whom acquitted themselves well.
The Pirates Colts lost their 100% record this season, going
down 26-0 against a well-drilled and organised Truro side which had a bigger pack
of forwards and a set of backs that were quick and slick.
The Pirates Colts continued their 100% record with a fine home
performance, and despite the match being played in wind and rain it was a credit
to both teams for putting on an entertaining game.
The Pirates colts continued their good start to the season
with a hard fought win away to Falmouth with some of the squad playing for the
Pirates amateurs.
