Bodmin
6 Pirates Amateurs 11
Saturday 27th September 2008
Having
a number of personnel injured, at work, or on holiday, meant that the Pirates
Amateurs had to travel to Bodmin with a bare complement of just 15 players. Nevertheless,
they gave a good account of themselves, their defence tight and a fine debut performance
from scrum-half James Jeffery.
Centre Aaron Pennell also proved himself
a match winner, scoring two penalties and an all-important try just five minutes
from the end.
