David DrewWe
were all shocked to hear that David, who captained the club for three seasons
during the seventies, passed away suddenly during the last weekend in February,
His funeral took place at a packed Leedstown Chapel on the 8th. March,
2006. The bearers were Pirates players Nick Adams, Matt Jess, Dan Seal,
and Joe Bearman, with the service conducted by the Rev. Julyan Drew. Robin
Turner, our Chairman, read the eulogy, his spoken words celebrating the life of
someone who was fully committed and reliable in all that he did. There
was a gathering at the Pirates Club after the funeral, where the opportunity was
taken to sign a book of condolence. Donations in David's memory were for
the R.N.L.I. |
